The powerhouse, pioneer capture actor Andy Serkis is finally getting his chance to in the director’s chair at the helm a live-action adaptation of The Jungle Book for Warner Bros. The Brit is renown for roles such as Gollum in “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” and “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, as King Kong in Jackson’s “King Kong” and as Caesar in “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” is directing Rudyard Kipling’s classic ‘The Jungle Book” for Warner Brothers.
He isn’t entirely new to the role. He served as second unit director of Peter Jackson’s two “Hobbit” movies, including the barrel chase scene in “The Desolation of Smaug.”
Jon Berg is overseeing “The Jungle Book” for the Warner Brothers studio. The movie promises to be a much darker take than the Disney stories.

It says some big names such as Cate Blanchett, Andy Serkis, Christian Bale, Naomi Harris, Benedict Cumberbatch and Freida Pinto just to name a few.
Andy will be in a race with Disney, who made the 1967 animated classic and plans to crank out its own live-action version directed by director Jon Favreau(Iron Man, Cowboys & Aliens, Elf)
